Welcome to the Ladies Section at Rugby Golf Club. We are a friendly and enthusiastic Section with playing and social members all integrating on a regular basis.
The Ladies Section is fully committed to the Women’s Charter which can be viewed in full on the club’s website.
Competitions
Our main ladies’ day is Wednesday when we have priority access to the tee from 12 noon. To support those who are unable to play in the week we have an alternate day for the main competitions at the weekend. A medal competition is held once a month on a Saturday. There is also the opportunity from time to time for all members to play an extra medal or stableford on a Tuesday.
For those ladies preferring to play fewer holes or recovering from injury, there is a regular 9 hole competition held on most Wednesdays and a roll-up session on most Mondays.
Major competitions are played throughout the season including the Club Championship. There are knockout and mixed competitions and Opens in the Spring, Summer and Autumn, making up a good variety of competitions for members and visitors.
We have teams who enter many competitions for example: Inter Club County Competition, Midlands Scratch League, Warwickshire League, Annodata, Taskers, and Warwickshire Foursomes. We also have regular friendly matches with neighbouring clubs. Whatever your standard or type of golf competition you enjoy, you can be sure that we will have something for you at Rugby.
Coaching
Coaching is available with our qualified PGA professionals, Dave Quinn and Zoe North, either at Leam Valley Golf Centre or on the practice ground at the golf club. They offer one-to-one lessons, short game clinics, masterclasses and on-course coaching. Their open day clinics are a great way to meet other golfers, enjoy free coaching and play a few holes to experience the course. The Club also offers an attractive Academy package which includes coaching on and off the course which is the perfect pathway into golf for beginners.

Social
Various social occasions are organised throughout the year from an informal Golf Rules Night with cheese and wine to in house fashion shows. There is a yearly Charity Lunch for playing and social members and their friends; this year the fund raiser is at The Waterside Restaurant, Draycote Water. The Lady Captain has a yearly Golfing Away Day – this was at Leamington & County Golf Club in June with a "Queen of the Green" theme for golfing attire and the post-match meal!
